Ailsa & Rory

Katie
I built RevHub because I couldn't find what I needed for my own kid.
Rory was in year 9 and struggling with English — not because he wasn't smart, but because the gap between what he was doing in class and what he needed to practise at home was huge. I'd sit with him at the kitchen table trying to help, pulling together worksheets from Google, printing things that were either too easy, too hard, or had nothing to do with what he was actually studying. One night he got me to review some work he had produced and I knew he wasn't really answering the question properly but I didn't know how to help, really demotivating for him when he feels it's not good but doesn't have the help to learn how to improve it.
I'm not a teacher. I'm a parent. But I knew there had to be a better way — revision material that matched the actual book my son was reading in class, at the right level, without me having to become a curriculum expert overnight. So I started building it. RevHub takes the text your child is studying at school and creates worksheets and writing feedback built around that specific book. No generic exercises. No guessing what's relevant. Just focused English revision that actually connects to what's happening in the classroom.
The Writing Coach is the part I'm most proud of. Your child writes a response, and RevHub gives them detailed, encouraging feedback — the kind a good tutor would give. It points out what they did well, quotes their own words back to them, and shows them exactly how to improve. I believe AI can be a brilliant tool for building skills — not bypassing them. That's what RevHub is built to do: teach your child to write better, not write for them. It's not a chatbot. It's a safe, structured tool designed specifically for Australian students in Years 7 to 9 — and it costs a fraction of what a private tutor charges.
I built this as a parent, for parents. If you've ever sat at that kitchen table wondering whether you're helping or just adding to the homework stress, RevHub is for you.

Meet Katie — Teaching Consultant
I've known Katie for a long time, and when I started building RevHub, she was one of the first people I talked to about it. She's been a teacher for over fifteen years, and she's the kind of teacher who really sees her students — especially the ones who learn differently and need a bit more thought put into how things are explained.
Katie's joining RevHub as our Teaching Consultant. She's working on new ideas for the site — more content, new tools, and new ways to use AI to help kids actually learn. She also reviews what we've already built, making sure everything works the way a real teacher would expect it to. Having someone who thinks about teaching every day bringing ideas to the table — not just checking our work — makes everything we build better.
I'll share more about Katie soon. For now, just know that having a teacher's eyes on everything we do makes RevHub better — and I'm glad it's hers.
