Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Note: This policy has been drafted to reflect how RevHub currently operates. It should be reviewed by a qualified Australian solicitor before being relied upon as a final legal document.

1. Who we are

RevHub is operated by Revision Hub Pty Ltd(ABN 15 696 856 738), an Australian company. When this policy says “we,” “us,” or “RevHub,” that’s who it means.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, you can contact us at hello@revhubhq.com.au.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we store and protect it, and what your rights are. It applies to everyone who uses RevHub — including parents and their children.

RevHub is designed for students aged 11–14 (Years 7–9). Because of this, we take extra care with how we handle information that relates to children. This policy covers that specifically in Section 8.

3. What personal information we collect

We only collect the information we need to provide the service. Here’s what that includes:

Account information

Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.

Payment information

When you subscribe, your payment details are collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number, expiry date, or CVV on our servers. We receive a record of your subscription status and transaction history from Stripe.

Student information

The year group your child is in (Year 7, 8, or 9) and the book titles they enter when generating worksheets. We do not ask for your child’s name, school, or date of birth.

Content your child creates

Writing submitted to the Writing Coach for feedback. This is processed by our AI system to generate feedback and is not shared with other users.

Usage data

How you use the platform — which tools you access, how often you generate worksheets, and general usage patterns. This helps us improve the service.

4. How we collect your information

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Directly from you — when you create an account, subscribe, or enter information into RevHub (such as book titles or year group).
  • From your child — when they submit writing to the Writing Coach or enter book details to generate worksheets.
  • From Stripe — payment and subscription status information.
  • Automatically — basic usage data collected through our hosting platform when you use the website.

5. Why we collect it

Every piece of information we collect has a specific purpose:

InformationPurpose
Name & emailTo create and manage your account, and to contact you about your subscription
Payment detailsTo process your subscription payments (handled by Stripe)
Year groupTo generate worksheets at the correct difficulty level for your child
Book titlesTo personalise worksheets and vocabulary exercises around the book your child is studying
Writing submissionsTo generate personalised feedback through the Writing Coach
Usage dataTo understand how the platform is used and improve the service

6. How we store and protect your information

Your account data is stored in a secure database hosted by Supabasein Sydney, Australia. Your data is encrypted both in transit (when it’s being sent) and at rest (when it’s stored).

We use industry-standard security practices, including secure HTTPS connections, authentication tokens, and access controls. Only the systems that need your information to provide the service can access it.

Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant — the highest standard of payment security.

7. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for marketing purposes. We only share it with the services we need to run RevHub:

Supabase (Sydney, Australia)

Database and authentication. Stores your account details, student information, and usage data.

Stripe (United States)

Payment processing. Handles all subscription billing and payment card details.

Anthropic (Claude API) (United States)

AI processing. When your child generates a worksheet or submits writing to the Writing Coach, the request is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate the content or feedback. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models when accessed via the API.

Vercel (Global edge network)

Website hosting and delivery. Serves the RevHub website and processes requests through its global network.

8. Children’s data

RevHub is built for students aged 11–14, so the way we handle children’s data matters. Here’s what you should know:

  • Accounts are created by parents, not children. A parent must sign up and manage the subscription.
  • We collect as little information about students as possible — only year group, book titles, and writing submissions. We do not ask for a child’s name, age, school, or date of birth.
  • Writing submitted to the Writing Coach is used only to generate feedback. It is not shared with other users, used for marketing, or made public.
  • Children interact with RevHub through structured tools only — there is no open chatbot, no messaging, and no social features.
  • Content filtering is built in. If a student enters a book title that contains inappropriate material, the system flags it automatically.

If you have concerns about how your child’s information is being handled, contact us at hello@revhubhq.com.au.

9. Overseas data transfers

Some of the services we use to run RevHub are based outside Australia. Under the Australian Privacy Principles, we’re required to let you know when your data may be transferred overseas.

StripeUnited StatesPayment and subscription information
Anthropic (Claude API)United StatesWorksheet generation requests, writing submissions for feedback

Each of these providers has their own privacy and security policies. We only use providers that meet industry-standard security and data protection practices.

10. Cookies and tracking

RevHub currently uses only essential cookies— the ones needed to keep you logged in and make the website work. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

If we add analytics or other tracking tools in the future, we will update this policy and let you know. [TO CONFIRM — analytics provider and cookie details to be added when implemented]

11. How long we keep your information

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your account data is retained so you can reactivate later if you choose to.

If you ask us to delete your account entirely, we will remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records (such as transaction records for tax purposes).

Writing submissions sent to the Writing Coach are processed in real time and are not stored long-term after the feedback has been generated. [TO CONFIRM — exact retention period for Writing Coach submissions]

12. Accessing and correcting your information

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct any information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date

To make a request, email us at hello@revhubhq.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.

13. Deleting your account

You can request to have your account and associated personal information deleted at any time by emailing us at hello@revhubhq.com.au.

When you request deletion, we will:

  • Cancel any active subscription
  • Remove your account details from our database
  • Delete any student information associated with your account
  • Complete the process within 30 days

Some records (such as payment transaction history) may be retained where required by Australian law.

14. Making a complaint

If you believe we have handled your personal information incorrectly, or you’re unhappy with how we’ve responded to a request, you can:

  1. Contact us first at hello@revhubhq.com.au — we will investigate and respond within 30 days.
  2. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add new features, change providers, or if the law requires it. When we make changes, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page.

For significant changes that affect how we handle your information, we will notify you by email.
