How RevHub works
Does RevHub replace what my child’s teacher is doing?
No — and it’s not trying to. RevHub is revision, not replacement. It reinforces the same skills your child is learning at school, using the book they’re reading — whether that’s a school set text or one they’ve chosen themselves. Think of it as structured practice between lessons. The teacher introduces the concepts; RevHub gives your child extra time to build the habits.
Is this just comprehension questions about their book?
Not at all. Comprehension asks “what happened in chapter 3?” RevHub asks “how does the writer use this moment to build tension, and how would you write about that in an essay?” Every task is about writing — analysing, arguing, and crafting language. That's what the curriculum assesses, and it's what we practise.
What if my child is behind for their year level?
RevHub’s Year 7 worksheets are designed for students who may be encountering analytical writing for the first time. If your child is in Year 8 or 9 but struggling, starting with the Year 7 worksheets is a perfectly good option — the skills are the same, just with more support built in. There’s no shame in building from the foundations. That’s how good writers are made.
How long before I see improvement in my child’s writing?
Most parents notice a shift within 4–6 weeks of consistent use — usually one worksheet per week plus Writing Coach feedback. The early changes are often in confidence rather than marks: your child starts writing more willingly, tries longer sentences, uses better words. The Writing Coach feedback accelerates this — because your child isn’t just practising, they’re getting specific guidance on what to fix. The marks tend to follow a term later, once the skills have become habits rather than one-offs.
Do I need to sit with my child while they use RevHub?
You don’t have to — the worksheets and the Writing Coach are both designed for independent use. But many parents find it helpful to review the Writing Coach feedback together, especially in the first few weeks. It’s a chance to talk about what their child is working on without it feeling like nagging. After a few sessions, most students are comfortable doing it on their own.
What if my child doesn’t have a set school book yet?
That’s completely fine. RevHub works with any book your child is reading — it doesn’t have to be a school set text. If they’ve got a novel they love, enter that. And if they don’t have a particular book at all, the Descriptive Writing Worksheets, Essay Planning Tool, and Writing Coach all work without one. Your child can start building core writing skills straight away.
Is one worksheet a week really enough?
Yes — if it’s paired with Writing Coach feedback. One focused skill per week, practised properly and reviewed with specific feedback, is more effective than five worksheets done without any follow-up. The Writing Coach is what turns practice into progress. Quality over quantity. Targeted practice with feedback beats volume every time.
AI & content
How does the AI generate worksheets?
When your child enters a book title, year group, and writing skill, RevHub sends that information to an AI model (Anthropic’s Claude) along with carefully designed prompts that align with the Australian Curriculum. The AI generates a complete worksheet — teaching section, worked examples, and writing tasks — tailored to that specific book and skill level. Every prompt has been refined with input from experienced teachers to ensure the content is accurate, age-appropriate, and educationally sound.
Is the AI content always accurate?
We design our prompts carefully and align everything to the Australian Curriculum, but AI-generated content can occasionally contain minor errors or inaccuracies. That’s one reason RevHub is a revision tool, not a replacement for teaching. If you ever spot something that doesn’t look right, let us know and we’ll fix it. Our prompts are regularly reviewed and refined by our curriculum team.
Is using RevHub considered cheating?
No. And this is worth understanding clearly. There’s a real problem with AI tools that write essays, generate answers, and produce work that a student submits as their own. That is cheating — and schools are right to crack down on it. RevHub doesn’t do any of that. The Writing Coach never writes for your child. It reads what they’ve written and gives them feedback — what’s working, what isn’t, and how to improve. The worksheets build skills through structured practice. Your child does all the writing. The distinction is simple: AI that produces work is a shortcut. AI that teaches skills is a learning tool. RevHub is a learning tool.
Is it safe for my child to use independently?
Yes. RevHub is not an open AI chatbot. Your child can’t type anything they want into an open text box and get an unfiltered response. Every interaction is structured — enter a book, choose a skill, complete a task, submit writing for feedback. Content filtering is built in. If a student enters a book title that contains explicit or inappropriate material, the system flags it with a clear message explaining it isn’t suitable for their year group. RevHub is designed so a parent can hand it over and walk away.
Curriculum
How do I know RevHub actually aligns to the Australian Curriculum?
RevHub is aligned with the Australian Curriculum v9.0 — across the Language, Literature, and Literacy strands. The skills we teach, the way we teach them, and the level of complexity at each year group are built directly from the curriculum framework.
My child’s school follows the Victorian / NSW / Queensland curriculum. Will this still work?
Yes. State curricula (Victorian Curriculum 2.0, NESA syllabuses, QCAA frameworks) are all built on the Australian Curriculum. The core skills — analytical writing, persuasive technique, vocabulary control, text response — are the same across every state. RevHub teaches the writing skills that appear in all of them.
How often does RevHub update its content to match curriculum changes?
We monitor curriculum updates closely. When the Australian Curriculum is revised, our content is reviewed and updated to reflect any changes in skills, expectations, or emphasis. You don’t need to worry about whether we’re current — that’s our job.

Privacy & safety
How is my child’s data used?
We collect as little information as possible. We ask for your child’s year group and the book titles they enter — that’s it. We don’t ask for their name, school, or date of birth. Writing submitted to the Writing Coach is used only to generate feedback and is not shared with other users or used for marketing. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Where is my data stored?
Your account data is stored securely by Supabase in Sydney, Australia. Payment information is handled by Stripe (US-based, PCI-DSS compliant). When worksheets or feedback are generated, requests are processed by Anthropic’s Claude API (US-based). Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Can my child interact freely with the AI?
No. RevHub is not an open chatbot. Every interaction is structured — your child enters a book, chooses a skill, and completes a task. There is no free-text conversation with the AI. Content filtering is built in, and the platform is designed so a parent can hand it over and walk away.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can request account deletion at any time by emailing hello@revhubhq.com.au. We’ll cancel your subscription, remove your account details and any associated student information from our systems within 30 days. Some records (like payment transaction history) may be retained where required by law.
Where can I learn more about how RevHub protects my data?
Visit our Security page for a full overview of how we handle encryption, payments, data storage, and child safety. You can also read our Privacy Policy for the detailed legal version.
